Port and Polish

Hello again guys and girls. I have a good question for you. I am seriously thinking about porting and polishing my 1998 b18c1 GSR head. What would come of this? I have heard much about getting some decent power from it. I have a AEM cai, and am going to get an exhaust header soon. I have not been able to find any good posts about this subject, so I am posting now. Also, what might be the cost of a port and polish on the head? In adddition to the head, would there be any benifit of doing the same with the intake manifold? (this I have no heard anything about) Thanks people!

Re: Port and Polish

You should not be doing a p&p at the stage you are at. Just an intake is not going to benifit from a p&p. First do some other work, throttle body, intake manifold, header, exh, cams. then go onto p&p

i don't see a reason why not to do it now. like manny said you won't see much from it now until you upgrade. it won't hurt to do it now. but until you do some serious upgrading, you won't see what it has truely done. i've heard the non vtec p&p can go for around $100. not sure about the vtec head

You sir, are an idiot, and have the worst command of the english language that I've ever heard. On another note, porting your head certainly won't hurt, heads are what make horsepower. Mods do work better when done in conjunction with each other, that being said, you will see better performance if you do more than one mod at a time.
