Stripped Headlight screw

So I went to replace the headlights on my 1996 Sub, but the leftside screw on the drivers side is stripped out. It spins but won't come up at all. Are there any easy ways to remove it?

Don't know your specific model, but sometimes if you're REAL lucky you can get to the back side of the screw from above and turn/push it out with a set of needle-nose pliers until you can grab it with pliers from the front. Usually these screws go into clips, so you'll probably need to replace the clip.

Re: Stripped Headlight screw

I am assuming you are talking about the screws that hold the ring that holds the headlamp. There should be no screws on the left of the headlamp that hold the bulb in. Are you sure you are not turning the side to side adjustment screw. There are normally 4 screws that hold the retainer in, 2 on top and 2 on the bottom. The 2 on top are closer together than the 2 on the bottom.
