Re: Usa Vs Japan

In my opinion japanese cars are better, they often include smaller engines but there is a HUGE market for aftermarket parts. Import tuning is becoming very popular and japanese cars are at the vanguard of it. American cars on the other hand start with more muscle, but there are fewer parts available for them, unless maybe its a cavalier, neon, or focus. I'm just partial to foreign cars, especialy japanese cars

Well I would have to say that's a very opinionated question, everyone has a side of which they prefer more. I go more towards american built cars, even though i will say MOST, not all Japan made cars are well built But I still feel that Most American cars are built well also, I just feel that american cars got a bad rap in the 80's, I understand the early 80's but not the late 80's by then the cars were very reliable. Every car will have it's flaws some more then others.

I agree with Allanon1313 about the japanese cars having more after market parts... where as for USA cars you would need a focus neon cavalier or sunfire.... Which I don't care for any of them... So in that aspect Japan is way ahead... but it's a matter of someone to invest into a open market which has limited choices ( for american cars)

Re: Usa Vs Japan

my thoughts exactly. US cars are fine, most are more powerful than most japanese, but because of a lack of market american cars don't have the parts japanese cars do. Simple supply and demand. Japanese cars have the demand therefor have the supply. And the American cars that have the demand aren't worth it in my opinion. Japanese cars just have the sleek look that looks good modded.
