How to kill the Check engine light for 92 Truck

I have a 92 Nissan Pickup Auto 4cyl that runs fine, but occasionally the check engine light comes on.

How can I disable it? Besides taking out the bulb.
Or is there a reset switch somewhere?

thanks
andre

Your best bet is to take out the light bulb. Unless it has led's, which in that case, you're stuck with it on.

You can either disconnect your battery for at least 24 hours. Or locate the ECU, and find the ECU diagnostics screw. Turning it clockwise for 2 seconds and then turning it back should clear the MIL codes and reset the light.

HOWEVER I would suggest finding out what's causing the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) to come on in the first place.
