2 quick questions
What does the sweet smell mean? It goes away after the car is warmed up.
Next, how do I alleviate wheel hop? Thanks guys. Turtle

Re: 2 quick questions
The smell is that your car is so sweet.. Actually, I dunno what it could be. Maybe you like the car so much you're just imagining it..
Wheel hop can be fixed with more wheel spin, aftermarket crossmember with traction bars, stiff suspension, better tires, polyurethane motor mounts.. Probably more stuff. |

Re: 2 quick questions
Could be. My girlfriends Sunflower smelled like that when he headgasket was going because you could smell the coolant. Does the temp go up and down when it gets really hot, or is it always consistant?

Re: 2 quick questions
The temp gauge stays consistent (about half way) once the car warms up and the cold idle drops to normal.

Re: 2 quick questions
The "sweet smell" is generally attributed to a head gasket, but it could be something different in your case... Heater core? I'm not sure. Maybe it's just you??

Re: 2 quick questions
I think it only does it when I first crank up the car. Maybe that's it... coolant flowing through system upon start up. I've noticed other cars like that. I guess I'm real sensitive...
I'm not leaking oil. (it was leaking from the dizzy o-ring... common)... but can the headgasket fuck up even if you don't leak oil?

Re: 2 quick questions
Thanks. I better keep close tabs on my oil. I know that I burn a tiny amount over time, especially when I redline so I try not to do that too often.
