Exhaust question

The intake on the performance muffler I have is 2 ½” inches, and the exhaust pipe is1 ¾”. I already have the adapters to install it but I was wondering if that was gunna do anything as to cut back on performance and if so how much. Thanks

no, it should be fine, i'm sure someone will make the arguement that you'll lose HP (or gain for that matter) but even if you do it will not be any amount you will ever notice in regular driving.

You will get no gain from this set up. None. You have a 1 3/4 in pipe, stock right? You basically added a new muffler for looks. Perhaps even for the loud sound, but nothing more.

Well looks are a plus and great sound is even better, and even better since I installed an AEM short ram intake. I would have gotten the V2 intake but I got the short ram brand new for practically free from my friend’s buddy who had a 91 accord that ran to shit. He never got to install it. More hp would be nice but I don't really plan on racing my 92 accord anyway, just showing off the great sound of my import. My car is in great condition except for a little rust on the rear wheel well and a few digs and scratches on the rear bumper and front fender cuz of when my grandmother owned it. She got it brand new. That’s right it was babied and unfortionatlly also an automatic. If I do anything else performance wise than I’ll do it after I get an h22a engin swap and get the car switched to stick. Well thanks for the help and if anybody wants to add anything please do.
