91 civic hatch stereo install
my lil' brother just got a 91 civic hatch, std 4 spd (slow as hell) but the guy he bought it from took out his cd player. he has some tweeters and two 6 1/2's in the doors running off some power converter (i think that's waht its called). Now, i'm trying to put a pioneer cd player in it but i don't know how he hooked it up. I went to buy an adapter to just hook up to the pioneer deck and the plug in to the stock harness but that didn't work. The guy sold me the wrong one. IS there a correct wiring harness or do I have to hardwire it somehow? thanks for any help possible...

Re: 91 civic hatch stereo install
Mine was liked that only it came with a JVC tape player but they hooked it up by cutting the plugs off. When I installed it, I had to find every wire to where they went. That was before I found this site. LOL
Also, what else was strange was that they took the front door speakers out, ran wires from there, under the carpet to the rear and hooked up two kenwood theater speakers. It sounded alright but man, they must thought that was the way to get bass. I think not!
