Airbags

My bags are cool and gay at the same time. They are sooooooo great for show. Only me and one other guy have bags on our cars in all of Middle Georgia. Half a state, and only two cars have them! Everybody is amazed at them. Anyways, they handle like shit. I've got the accumulators, so my car rides fairly smooth, but my friend, his is bouncy as shit! The bags DEFINITELY do NOT give you better handling.

Re: Airbags

They also float and give you imprecise steering but....

Rods are much better at retaining hanlding and ride charateristics.

I have the rods. I just call them bags because that sounds cooler to me. Anyways, the rods float like you said. It feels cool when I go over a dip or something. Its roller coaster-like! But, the rods really dont help the handling any better than regular bags. Personally, I think coilovers are the way to go, I'm just a show off and had to get the best shit so I could amaze all the Southern Rednecks down here. lol

So far, I have spent about $1800. There is a cheap kit you can get for about a thousand, but I wouldnt mess with that. But hey....whatever floats your boat I guess. I'm fixing to upgrade to a nine gallon tank and a 3/4 hp compressor, so thats gonna run me about $400.

Air-ride or rods will not give you the same peformance as matched set of coilovers and shocks. Plus the extra weight from an air system just slows you down even more.
