Could be a LS, GSR, or Type R (of course LS and GSR are the american names that refer to that specific motor). Just look on the block, there is a flat plate at the edge where the motor meets the tranny; and that will tell you what motor you have. B18b for "LS", B18c w/black valve cover for "GSR", and B18c w/red valve cover for Type R.
And don't listen to these jackasses. Both of them are losers who has been making up usernames this past week and flooding the board. The people they are spoofing have a lot higher post counts, so you can tell which ones are real and which ones are faked.

Re: engine types

if you really want to know, there is a flat plate at the edge where the motor meets the tranny. your engine code will be imprinted there

If you want to post some pictures of the engine, go for it! Someone here may be able to tell just by looking at the valve cover or something.

What year is your car? What model is it? (IE GS-R, R, LS, GS, RS) If you do not know, look at your title. If it is in Jap, then post your vin #. Are you on Hansen, Swab, Foster, Courtney, ect, ect?

I knew the username looked familiar for some reason. I'll change it to the way it should be.

You must upload it to the net first. You can do this on AF. Click on the gallery link at the top. You can do a search in this forum to get more details. (Mods, notice how I refrained from just posting "SEARCH" like an asshole) Rehabilitation.
