gas

I have an 86 gt 4 spd and i was getting really good gas milage like 24mpg now i am only getting about 20 does anyone know something that goes wrong and needs to be cleaned like injector or fuel filter anyhelp would be great

check your air filter, spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, and fuel filter. The fuel filter is located above and to the side (passenger side) of the catalytic converter. You should not attempt to clean it, just replace it with a new one.

no didnt think that would affect it very much but anyhow. i think i figured out what is causing it my front brakes need to be replaced waiting on new rotors but there dragging, another thing is how big is the fiero gas tank i ran out of gas today trying to push it but only put in 8.8 gallons

An 86 should have a 10.3 gallon tank. The fuel pump pick up may be out of position and not pick up from the bottom of the tank.

The bouncing needle is caused by either a mechanically bad sending unit or broken baffle in the tank causing fuel to slosh around too much.
