Angry About new announcements

I donīt understand why release plastic models that they don't have much demand,

Revell and AMT, only pure strangers and oldies models, These manufacturers are releasing too much NASCAR cars.

There are many good cars that they could be make and release, but really good car...

Fujimi had a 10 (excellent) releasing Murcielago, Gallardo coming soon, etc

Tamiya had a 10 also releasing porsche carrera GT, This model is the best that i have seen.

Candidates ?????

Lamborghini CALA
Jaguar XRJ15
Nazca C2
Vector WX3
Corvette Callaway C7
Lotus Elise
MG Xpower 500

maybe its too much.

Fujimi murcielago and carrera almost in all hobbies stores are sold out.

You could maybe put this down to more and more people buying things like video games, possibly a smaller market for plastic models. Also, with companies like Tamiya, who produce a whole spectrum of products like r/c cars, it might be hard to concentrate on one area. Also think of all the development time that goes into making a model car, reproducing everything 24 times smaller and making sure it all fits.

No, it's more that Revell and AMT are making models for the american market, and no, there isn't as great a demand for the cars your suggest compared to the cars they plan to release. Remember, your taste many not reflect the market, and I can tell you right out, AF does not represent the market either. Go talk to the shop owners, go talk to the distributers, really, and ask them what kits get the most orders. You'll see that compared to NASCAR kits, the Murcielagos are probably really hard to move. They're sold out at your shop? Consider how many are imported here, there are probably not as many in the warehouse as there are NASCAR kits, so the NASCAR kits you don't like get restocked while the Carreras and Mercialagos don't. These companies aren't stupid, they do market research I'm sure. Sorry that you're not in their market.

NASCAR kits do sell well, were they are apriciated, like in the southern United States.

actually, Revell and AMT prohibably sell 3 times the amount of kits that Tamiya and Fujimi do, so they must be doing something right. I buy more Revell and AMT kits then Tamiya, why, becouse i'm more into classic cars. plus some of there kits are great. even though some are 30+ years old

Re: About new announcements

I agree it's a shame exotics don't represent an important part of the market, but that's just the way it is!
You may spend your whole life without seeing a real Vector. You may spend your whole life without seeing its 1/24 plastic model too.
That seems quite logical.
And if you want it anyway, well, you'll just have to do the same as for the real one: spend more money, and find or order a resin kit...

So great thanks to Tamiya & Fujimi for the Ferrari, Porsche & Lamborghini.
And thanks to Revell for the 1/24 Nascar models... Please, could you import more of them in France!
(being an exotic fan doesn't mean I don't like sharp and colorfull race cars!)

But if any manufacturer found a way to sell us an 1/24 Aston Martin Vanquish (which appeared in so many films), I must admit I would feel better!!!
