Question Speakers cut in and out

my little bro's speakers (Infinity Reference Series) .... for some reason his front right door speaker cuts in and out sometimes. When we push on the door panel near the speaker (this sounds dumb as the speaker is mounted in the door frame) the sound comes back but then cuts out... finally it just stays on but while driving he says it cuts in and out at times. His rears did this also but I soldered the wires and it seems to have done the trick. Is this a shoddy job Circuit Crappy did for him? He said it just started happening and he has had them for about 1/2 year so far with no probs. At first he thought they were defective but they are not. Thoughts? Thanks.

[his set up is: Alpine 9825 HU, Infinity Referece speakers for rear rated at 100wRMS and the fronts are 50wRMS]

Re: Speakers cut in and out

that's what i thought, i guess i have to take the door panel off and check connections, what a pain!

any other suggestions? thanks...

oh and i just bought a 9835 - make sure you take that baby with you when you park in unknown areas! My buddies just got lifted this past weekend and he's a very very unhappy camper right now. Insurance does nothing for him but he's getting another this weekend anyway. Poor guy. Live and learn.
