First ever mustang "Gt or Bullit"

I been working for ford for 5 years now and I need a second car. We dealed on a piddly focus zx3 no go then a piddly focus zx5 no go as well. Now they are suggesting I get a focus svt (naaaa), mustang GT or a bullit but I was kinda gonna wait for my midlife crisis before getting a musclecar. Now I play with stangs every day I know what they can do and I like it had the chance to drivem all from stock v6's to stock mach1's. I gotta say id love a bullit but Im into customizing so maybe a gt will be the way to go? I know the bullits performance is better already (slightly) Im confused I need advice! Help me make a decision please! Then when I get one Ill join the worlds largest most popular car club in the world and finally after 3 1/2 years Ill be proudly wearing a ford jacket again! As you can see I am very excited and enthusiastic about the whole thing now give me my War Horse! lol thanks again please lemme know.

I don't want to lead you in the wrong direction, but it sounds maybe like you need a GT to me. You can look for the right paint code on a GT, whereas a Bullit has 2 colors, black and green. So I say if you mod your cars-GT(more plentiful too). If you leave stock-Bullit. Your preference though really.

If you have the choice, go for the Bullit. Since you said you were into customizing the bullit would be a better choice because they don't have the GT's plastic intake manifold.

The Bullitt has THREE colors, Dark Highland Green, Black, and True Blue.
Also, the Bullitt has at least 5 HP more than the standard GT. The Bullitt is lowered about 3/4", twin 57MM throttle body instead of single 70MM, better flowing exhaust, factory sub-frame connectors and handles and performs GREAT!! I have a green Bullitt - I have installed a 3.73 gear, cold air intake and aluminum driveshaft and on STOCK tires, my best run so far in the 1/4 mile is 13.80 at 99 MPH. I love this car!!

Re: First ever mustang "Gt or Bullit"

I did just recently purchased a 1993 Ford Tempo from another AutoForums Member (DTails) and I watched him drive away from our lot with a 2005 Ford Mustang GT (Black W/Full Trim package) sideways. What a lucky kid! I was the very first person to drive the new 05 Free Horse at our dealership (Free Horse = Pony out of the coral) I almost wet myself , stock quick shift , plenty leg room , head room , extremely responsive clutch and the very best pounding factory stereo setup Ive ever heard. It was hard to see that car leave. In March when we (canadians) get our first convertables Im gonna go for a test rip with the top down for the full effect. Omgolly geese I fell in love with the perfect car.
By the way , I have been keeping in touch with the kid that bought the 05 GT , He still drives it even tho its pretty slick out there all he did was added michelin arctic snow tires. He says as long as he doesnt drive like a idiot the Horse handles "charmingly" as he put it. This car is a huge jump for a kid from a 2.3 manual tempo to a real mans car , the free horse GT Mustang. This is going to be my very first brand new car all 24 valves workin to make that 4.6 v8 scream as I smoke the tires off into the sunset becoming one with the dream machine of endless possabilities.
For now I will drive the tempo so I can at least wear my ford jackets and hats with some pride. I know its a tempo but its ford and ford is like familly to me and without fords I wouldnt be able to eat , have a warm bed or a nice place to live.
