what kind of eclipse is this?

hi everyone, I called this guy today about an eclipse that hes advertised adn i'm thinking about buynig. He says its a 1992 eclipse GSR4. its turbo adn 4wd. Can anyone give me any info on this car like its horsepower figures, quarter mile or anything like that? I'm seeing this car on sunday so i wanna know exactly what this is coz i've never heard of a GSR eclipse.

I'd say your friend is full of crap. Someone else here can give you the run down of model names for 1st gens.

The only turbo AWD eclipes is the GSX. And I am sure that if this guy doesn't know what kind of car he drives, he probably doesn't know that you have to change the oil, replace plugs, etc. I would steer clear of that. Unless he is dumb enough to sell it to you for like $500.

Well, maybe he just put a grs emblem on it like most ricers do, I'v seen a mustang with a skyline GTR sign (laughed my ass off) so when you go see it check for that.

You do know that the Mustang was a Roush Mustang GTR(Roush)

Yeah it comes with it. Its a Roush stang. As for that eclipse i think the guy is just confused

thats wierd I didn't think a roush Mustang came with that emblem but, please send me a link to a pic if you can.

Zwrangler try to get the vin # then look it up with CAR FAX that should help you determine what type of eclipse it is

yeah dude, they came out with a Cobra "R". Its pretty slick, nice body kit and aerodynamics, and must be a huge engine too.

As for the eclipse, I have heard of GSRs before. In Japan. They also have 1G Eclipse Targa's in Germany.

Has anyone seen (I think an 04) a mustang that's chameleon with chameleon seats. I don't know if the one I saw at the ford store was stock. I thought I saw a sticker on it, but it could have been a trade. I would have paid attention more, but its a ford.

yup, thats what it looks like. so what do you guys think?? OKay, alternatively i can also get a 1995 turbo eclipse. Are the 95's AWD too?? and which one would you guys suggest as a car. I'm looking for something can can easily be modified to give me more power. So do i go for the 95 or 92?? and do they both have 4g63 enigines?? and what hp is in a stock 95? sorry to ask so many questions, but its a big decision finding a new car. thanks for the help anyway.

was that on the mischief 3000 video in the extras? i saw that guy but he said it had a rotary in it...the makers of the film were making fun of him cause of the R symbol

Zwrangler its hard to find the specs for the gsr4 eclipse I searched all over the net... nothing with the specs on it, just pics.
