98 b18b1 nitrous ????
i have a 98 b18b1 ls with i/h/e no cat and mugen ecu i was curious if i got a zex wet kit how high of a shot is safe to go on the stock ls motor
also with that shot what would i be looking at horsepower wise and if anyone could guess 1/4 mile times... i am a great driver |

55 shot on a stock internals. And that mugen ECU is a bad thing with N2O. Those chips advance timing, with nitrous like any forced induction your supposed to retard timing.

so 55 shot on stock internals ok cool
i planned on having the car fully dyno tuned on the nitrous so i know when i spray it will be ready |

you could go 75-85 shot on stock internals if you had proper fuel/timing upgrades.

if i run a 65 shot wet would i need to retard timing at all or could i leave it how i have it ..... advance igntion timing on stock ecu?

With a 65 shot your supposed to retard timing, I believe 1 or 2 degrees to help prevent dentention.

65 shot - retard 2 degrees, 75 shot - retard 4 degrees
Run colder plugs and always 93 or higher octane

About how much of a power gain would he get from those different levels/amounts?

Usually it's said the hp to equal the amount of the shot but you cant really tell sometimes. It's all in how it's released into the intake system.

you'd be better off with a wet kit too like nitrous express heard dry nitrous isn't all that wonderful on your engine.

"wet" and "dry" nitrous is the same, the only difference is extra fuel is injected along with the nitrous on a wet kit hence the "wet".
Dry is nitrous only and lets the injectors do the fuel work. Proper fuel upgrades dry wont hurt anything.

i had just "heard" that dry could pool up in your intake manifold or something like that and something else about inconsistency with it. no expert just thinking i might help.

That would be a good argument with direct port/Nozzle in the intake tube.
Direct port would be mounted in each runner of the IM and the Nozzle in the intake tube is cheaper and more commonly done and "puddling" can result in wet or dry applications. I understood what you were saying but just adding some onto that.
