Re: bad mileage?

I say it all depends on the car itself, some are lemons, some aren't, all depends on the previous owners, but than again I'm just a dumbass newbie, so yea, also, get a carfax??? that might help??? I hope I've been of some help!

Re: bad mileage?

Drive it and ask/carfax it to see how many owners it's had and if possible talk to them about what they did/didn't do to the car when it was in their care.

Re: bad mileage?

Personally I'd stay away from a car with that many miles. If it was a VR4 then MAYBE....but for the most part, I'd keep looking....

Re: bad mileage?

Id stay away froma vr4 with that many miles unless doing a complete rebuild, a NA I would be fine with. Im not contradicting slade, its more of just a personal preference.

Re: bad mileage?

i think(depending on how well it was taken car of) 120,00 miles is the halfway point before you need to do some rebuiling, also depends on the price.

how much is it? and is it a vr4 or base or sl?

Re: bad mileage?

Check carfax, testdrive the hell outta it, make sure it has the 60k and 120k tuneup done and documented, have a mechanic you trust look over it.

Re: bad mileage?

Don't know, as you havn't told us if it is a SL or vr4 and what the price is. Personally I would look for something with lower miles...but we can't tell you if it is a good deal if we don't know what the deal is...

Man i could of gotten a 93 SL for 8500 but that is way too much for that year and mileage on it. Some poor sap got hustled when he bought that car. There are a ton of 1st gens on ebay motors but you have to watch out for loser sellers and for crap cars.
