XRS body kit removal

I got the XRS because I love the 2ZZ engine, but I hate the stock body kit. If I remove the body kit, how many holes am I going to have to fill. Has anyone modified their XRS or S like this?

Yes to 170hp

I had a 2004 CE, stick that had 125ftlbs of torque, which is only 2 less than the XRS. So from a light it doesnt seem like its much quicker, UNTIL 6000rpm, when the VVTL-i kicks in. It revs more freely and on the highway its more willing to pass.

I want to take the kit off because first of all, its not really my style, and secondly, Ive only had it for two days and its already scratched as hell under the bumper. It looks like someone hit it while they were parallel parking. Plus...who would think that its got 170 hp

Re: XRS body kit removal

on the bumper effects there will be slots, four per side and there will be about six holes along the side that the sideguard clips into.
The holes on the side are through the body but are E-coated in an electrolytic anti-rust agent.
if you fill all these holes you would be good . but unless you are an expert body guy you will see them.
The sideguard holes look like they have been roughly punched on a press, because they have.

Exterior difference would be the 16" Alloys as opposed to the 15"
and the XRS Badges.
Inside the shiney Six speed shifter.
Under the hood is where it counts.

Re: XRS body kit removal

well go ahead and remove it. Since they do add it to regular corollas, i wouldnt think it would be difficult or it there would be anything that will damage it or make it look bad.

Ok..so I have had the car for 5 days or so now, and the body kit is just somewhat growing on me. I guess I will give it a few weeks.
