Unhappy 2000 Sunfire GT

I just bought a 2000 Sunfire GT just over three months ago...used. Me being a girl, thought it ran fine. SO then my engine light comes on. I get it scanned and a cylinder is misfiring...compression test is done 85, 115, 185, 185. Bad news...I get a second opinion...he says the same thing...replace the engine. He said he could hear right away that it sounded like shit. Sucks to be me.

Re: 2000 Sunfire GT

Is it worth it to try that engine restore stuff...or is that just a temporary fix anyways. My buddy(who's a mechanic) says it doesn't accelerate like it should...it's been like that since I bought it.

Or should I just got get the loan and get a whole new engine and stop thinking about it?
