Exclamation Need Help With Rear Lights

my running lights, and rear turning indicators are out ... the lights are all new and good, connection is good, fuses are good ... but no lights ...

called bmw service centers in the tri-state area and was told they are all booked for the next few weeks ... need to just identify the problem ...

is there any way to identify the problem i am flying solo in the rear ...

Re: Need Help With Rear Lights

not easy on E39 and later cars, but I'll check 10/14 if you can wait.......haven't run across that complaint yet.

Re: Need Help With Rear Lights

Okay, I'm still enjoying trying to help on this forum with problems I haven't encountered yet, there's always something new, something to be gained for me to................anyway
"young tres", from what you describe and how the lighting systems function on E38 and later BMW's, though each has it's own 'quarks', the problem is likely the "Light Module" located in the R/F kick panel behind the footwell speaker. Switching is now simplified, no more relays or flashers or numerous fuses for external lamp functions. DO however recheck F16, F41, F112 & F113 to be sure, loaded circuit overcurrents are now handled electronically in the Module.
I guess that's the good news, the bad news is BMW uses 1 Module for several models and the replacement MUST BE CODED to the vehicle....
Prehaps it's time to find a quality, well trained and equipped Independent Technician in your area.
You've got a lighting problem [SAFETY CONCERN] and the area Dealers are too busy to fit you in ? ? ? whooooose me. best to you.........jeff b.
