Chirping sound from engine or tranny.
1999 Chevy S-10 2WD 2.2L with automatic transmission.
I have a chirping noise coming from somewhere in the rear of the engine or the transmission (in gear or out of gear). Sound of chirp increases with engine speed in idle or while driving. Barely perceptible when engine first started, but in about one minute, chirping increases in sound level . Chipring continures when forced to drive and brake applied, but chirping seems to go away when I have the brake applied and place the transmission in reverse. Suggestions please. |
