Re: '89 CRX HF - will SI steering wheel fit?
Thanks, it makes sense that it would. The dealer parts guy says the steering columns are different. Si=tilt, HF=not.

Yep, all civic si and crx si wheels are the same and will bolt up the same. Even an LX 4-door wheel is the same as above. That's what I got in my car.

my dx has tilt, but it doesnt tilt enough for my taists, thinking of finding a differnt steering collum that tilts down more.

What would it take to swap out a column without tilt, to a column with tilt..........

Re: '89 CRX HF - will SI steering wheel fit?
i put a CRX Si tilt column in my 90 STD. it sucked, cause all it did was allow it to go lower, and i wanted one to go higher cause im too damned tall to be driving a 4G. (im 6'3")
BTW, in my experience, most honda/acura steering wheels fit. i have a steering wheel from an integra type R for my project car. its made by MOMO, has no airbag, and came from the j-spec integra. i guess for shorts its a non-SRS JDM MOMO ITR wheel. boy thats one to brag about

Re: '89 CRX HF - will SI steering wheel fit?
I agree with SilentChamber. The tilt doesn't go down far enough. I always keep my wheel tilted down. I have skinny legs so I don't hardly ever hit the steering wheel getting in and out. But why in the world they made it tilt up that way is beyond me. I feel like I'm driving a truck with the tilt up.

Re: '89 CRX HF - will SI steering wheel fit?
I almost bidded on an Integra LS Special edition steering wheel. Had the cruise controls right on the wheel... Would have been great.

Re: '89 CRX HF - will SI steering wheel fit?
It's a super-easy swap, too, compared to American cars <spit>. Just pry out the "H" in the horn cover and use a 19mm socket to unscrew the nyloc nut. The wheel slides right off.
