96' Headlights/O2 Sensor/Trunk&Fuel Door Problems
Hello All,
Owning for the 1st time an Aurora (I'm European and have been a car nut for a long time, the Aurora is the sexiest front AND back 4 door car ever manufactured PERIOD, this car reminds me of the SR71 and the Concorde..perfection on wheels) I have found that once it gets dark ouside the only lights I have are the DRL's (my hibeams work). Reading threads on this issue still has not helped. Here is how I think I understand the operation of my headlights; during the day the DRL's are active once the day/night sensor senses night the night-time lights come on. If for some reason your sensor goes bad you turn the switch on the left side stalk (cruise control stalk) and your headlights should come on. Nothing changes on mine, therefore I'm assuming (I know!!Never assume!!) that the sensor is bad AND the headlight switch in the stalk is bad. Oh forgot to mention that the chime will come on if I leave the headlights switch in the ON position and the driver's door is open AND I checked the circuit breaker under the rear seat and it has continuity. By the way my headlight assy. are pointing down (bubble all the way up towards engine bay) and the adjusting screw(s) are both mangled, I have taken a pair of pliers and rotated the threaded shaft but no headlight assy. movement was detected.
By the way does the Aurora have: 1- Bank 1 O2 sensor, located tailpipe side of the cata and 3- Bank 2 O2 sensors located on the engine side of the cata? I have a Bank 1 O2 sensor that is slow to respond fault code.
Trunk and Fuel door will not pop open...yes I did check the switch in the glove box and switched relays under the rear seat without success.
Thanks,
