where do you drain the radiator fluid?
My dad wants me to help him with his radiator fluid change. It is a 2002 8 Cyl. I looked underneath and found what I tought was a plug. It will only go about 1/2 turn. I dont want to force it because It doesnt look like it goes any further. No fluid comes out. (cap was removed)
Anyone done theres that knows. Otherwise I will probobly just undo the bottom hose. Thanks in advance Mike |

Re: where do you drain the radiator fluid?
Hell, just do it like we all do. Take the bottom radiator hose off. You'll get all your fluid drained in about a minute (or less). Then just slip it back on, tighten the clamp, and fill 'er back up.

Change it whenever you feel like it. If there is rust in it, it does need changing.

Re: where do you drain the radiator fluid?
I change mine every 18 months, probably a bit anal but I've never had a cooling problem in any vehicle I've owned. Except for that one time that the freezing rain totally blocked my grill and no air got to the radiator.
