suspension choices/questions

i'm going to lower my eclispe and have alot of choices/questions. i think i'm going to go with the agx shocks/struts but have to decide between the adjustable one or the fixed rate ones. the sales person said the fixed ones are about $100 less and have a nice setting for a lowered vehicle. i'm curious if the fixed settings are set well enough or if i should go with the adjustable type. also, i'm trying to decide on either coilovers or lowering springs. i'm starting to lean towards the lowering springs. if i decide to go that route, i have to decide between 1.5" drop or 2" drop. i was told i might have to get a chamber kit if i go with the 2" drop. any body have ideas/advice? thanks for any you can provide.

Re: suspension choices/questions

actually, i didnt know there were AGXs that has a fixed rate. i would suggest a soft set of lowering springs. the eibach pro-kit is pretty stiff. yes you will need a camber kit if you go below 1.5''

Re: suspension choices/questions

a little, i dont really change mine too much b/c i drive on the interstate alot. if i was going to the track, i would change the settings. its convienent if you need to change them. just a suggestion, if the roads are bad in your area, try to find a softer spring than the prokit. it can get pretty rough when you hit bumps in the road every 25 feet. also dont get springs that will drop the car more than 2''. the AGXs are not made to take the abuse of a 2'' drop

Re: suspension choices/questions

i'd go w/ the tein Stech springs, and see what kind of deal you can get on those, they are 50$ cheaper than the pro kit and lower 1.7 front and 1.5 back, for a nice aggresssive look, thats what i'm saving for w/ a kyb agx adjustables

the fixed shocks from kyb are the GR2's

Re: suspension choices/questions

they'll fit, they just might not lower the car as much since the RS is lighter.
