Can you hear the fuel pump coming on? also check how much fuel pressure you are getting. These chevys need alot. There is a pressure regulator that checks the pressure and if it isn't high enough it won't start. If the pump isn't coming on check the fuel relay. Are you getting spart to the plugs?

ideas

I just went through what I thought was a pump issue. I have some ways to rule out this and look at other issues.

1. Get a fuel pressure gauge and attach it to the fuel line. Find this on the fuel lines coming into the top of the engine. They are silver and have two of them running side by side. remmber to open the fuel cap prior to putting the gauge on. the pressure should be at about 50PSI.

2. The gauge can be bought from any part store. 30 to 90 depending on brand and store.

3. if the pressure is high enough and the pump is priming, then it is liekly that it is not a fuel pump issue. I would check the airbox and other related items.

finally, while it cost me 90 bucks getting to a dealer and having them tell me definativly what was wrong proved to be a good value to me. The frustration with these items is high if you do not know what the root cause is.

Cheers.
