97' Grand AM, shuts off automatically

Hi,

I have 97' Grand AM SE (V6), this is second time I am facing the problem since bought this on August 30th.

Today when I started the car, every thing sounded smooth, rolled of from the parking lot, with in a minute, my RPM raised to 2500, ( I just rolled of from parking lot and was drving only around 10 miles/hour speed), and the engine raised, then stoped, the engine knocked and totally shut down.

I noticed, check oil indicator and check Battery indicator was ON, in the instrument panel. (I recently changed the Synthetic oil in walmart, with 15 point check, which shows, my battery is also good).

Any idea what could be the reason? After some times, I started, it started fine and was able to reach my workplace, (not sure what will happen in the evening)
