Intake gasket replacement goof

Well, purchased a 98 SL the other day. The truck is clean, and has only 145 kms which I know are hwy considering I bought it from a friend of mine. It had a slight leak on the intake so my buddy agreed to take it in and have the gasket replaced. Well, I picked it up yesterday and after 1 block it was obvious the mechanic screwed up..white tailpipe smoke everywhere...had the sweet burnin smell of coolant : (

Now, I imagine this happens..you place the intake on and the gasket slips, but my bud said the mech ran her for 30 min and pressure tested ok...wierd.
I take it as well as replacing the gasket, I've got to make sure he also changes oil and filter...anything else you guys can think of?? I'm sure he's going to be accountable but I want to make sure I'm not missing anyhting.

Thanks..Oh, I guess you'll see me around once in a while..so CHEERS !
