I just put a new set of Yokohama YK420's on my car. I think the grip could be better, but they won't break loose unless you're cornering hard in the rain. Pulled out of a parking lot last weekend onto a wet street, shifted to second, and got a nice little fishtail. I drive a '01 A4 1.8T quattro. Previously had some Dunlops on it that I couldn't get to break loose no matter what. Well until they turned into slicks from wear. If you want sticky tires, I would go with the Dunlops, if you just want a good all weather daily driver, go Yoko. They are cheaper and last longer. Just my 2 cents on the tires I've had on my car.
