back to the track today
i wanted to improve my 1/4 mile time so i lightened up the car a bit and disconnected the exhaust near the rear passenger wheel. i also advanced the timing a bit. the results were:
reaction(i suck at this).642 2.376 9.797 ET 15.286 and mph 90.165. now its starting to make a bit of sence.... |

Re: back to the track today
You hit 90mph and were in low 15s... not too bad.

Re: back to the track today
does the RT directly affect the ET?

Re: back to the track today
RT does not affect ET or MPH in any way. it is simply for heads up and bracket use.

Re: back to the track today
sounds about right..
lower your 60' and you'll see alot better times. If you had slicks you could hit 14.9 with no problem |

Re: back to the track today
I cut 2.1 60's on my michellin v4's all the time no need for slicks to go 14.9's.
Just keep practicing it'll hit you, one day you'll just feel like your having a great run and you'll hit 14.9's, I thought that was the end for me....nope it just kept getting better and better.

Re: back to the track today
Whats your setup?
Its not a bad time at all, but you need to get your 60's down.. You should be able to get a 2.2 on almost any street tire. 2.1s are apparently doable, but I've never had any luck with them. A 2.2 should get you to a 15.0 or so... What wheels are you using exactly? Heavy rims slow people down a lot too. CivicHBsi91 - What kind of rims were you using? And what size tire? |

Re: back to the track today
I was using the gsr fat fives with the tires that came on them from the factory michellin v4's
185-60-15 I believe? havent checked out those tires in months but its your everyday street tire. Fat fives arent that light either.
