Swap DRL lights?

My turn light lamps have this substitute for the daytime running lamps and I want to know if anybody is willing to swap their DRLs with these "plugs" I think all we would need to trade is the harness (mine as none) and the connector, anybody??? I have a picture but for some reason I can´t post it. (must be cause I don´t know the code)

yahoo!! I know how to do it now! I want to remind everybody that this is a factory setup, made to cancel out the DRL for countries that don´t require them by law, it will fit right into your turn lamp.

Hey, thats not bad looking. I've deleted mine, but the bulbs are still in there, and I have them hooked up to a Wig-Wag box, so..I'd get me some plugs if it wernt for that.

im a little confused. what exactly did you do? just take out the DRL bulbs and stick a plug in their?

I'm with Nigel. I'm a little confused myself but, from the picture it looks like you've just plugged the bulb hole?

I saw something cool the other day a guy had changed his DRL's to Orange. He went by me the other day and I only had about a 6 seconds to check it out. At first glimpse it looked pretty cool, I'm kinda tempted to try it.

I have done that to mine. All you do is replace the 3157 bulb with a 3157NA, like the parking light uses. I've seen blue LED bulbs that look swwwwwwwweeeet in there.

These lamps are for EXPORT trucks, not meant to be sold in the US, GMs cheap bastards don´t put the bulbs in from the factory if the truck is to be sold in a region where the lights are not required by law

Yea, i had blue bulbs in my DRL's at one time, but i switched to hyper white. It looks sweet with the black background.

Why in the hell would a cop fine you for having orange DRL's? I thought the new GM trucks used the parking lights as the DRL anyhow?? Go figure..

Just kidding chuck. Yea, i donno why you would get a ticket for having orange DRL's. I can see maybe blue or red or something like that. I was told I could get a tickey for having white turn signals. But ive never been stopped. But you dont get stopped for much on stuff like that in Philly unles the cop has nothen better to do.

I never get stopped anymore..unless I do something stupid like pass the deputy @ 103. Now I said PASS, not meet...big difference. He was mad his little Crown Vic couldnt keep up lol. I was so proud of my triple digit ticket, but he tore it up.

Sorry guys, that's what I meant. The Blue ones would get you fined up here not the Orange ones.

If you switch to the orange ones, try to find some extended life bulbs. The regular ones don't like the constant heat, because they run the bright section of the bulb, not the dimmer running light portion.

I just went outside with a multimeter and checked out the DRL relay in the control center under the hood, even though there are 12v on the relay when I turn on the ignition, the relay does not close the terminals, I swaped the DRL relay with the horn relay and the horn worked, now there is no harnes for the DRL lights, but shouldn´t the relay trip and make contact??? now I am confused.
