Body Mounts

i was looking in the clymer book but could not find anything ,except tork setting ,about the body mounts. does the bolt in the center of the rubber mount just tighten to a nut that's welded to the floor pan ? thanks for the help.

i had to go over to a f150 sight i belong to to get an answer. the body mount pad is welded to the floor pan and that's the part that is threaded for the mounting bolt to tighten up to.

I bought this 1994 blazer for my teenager and i have 1 pad rusted away at the bolting point. i know the right way is to cut out and weld in a new floor pan with the mounting pad , but i'm trying to make sure everything is worth saving before i invest too much cash in it. i'm making a solid mount in the mean time to see if it helps a popping noise that i haven't located yet, too much body flex during right turns is the only time we get it or could be front ball joints tie rod ends , too.?

Check the swaybars and make sure they are tight when you are looking at the ball joints!

Could be anything in your front end?

Don't replace the body mount until you have thoroughly checked you balljoints, swaybar bushings and tierods for loosness.

i'm going to replace the balll joints and the tie rod ends too, but with the rusted out cab mount i'm trying to eliminate the obvious first. later i'll cut the floor and replace the pan and mount.
does anyone know if the pan already has the cab mount welded on.?
