Clearing Air Bag Codes

Hi! I did some front end work on my 1995 Windstar, and had to disconnect the LH radiator air bag sensor, then reconnected it after. Now the air bag light flashes code 82, which means that LH rad sensor has been removed and reconnected (a repaired fault). How do I reset the memory to clear the code? Thanks,
Garry

Re: Clearing Air Bag Codes

I heard that if you disconnect the battery cables for about 10 minuntes you can clear the "P" codes, maybe it will work with the airbag codes, or call up Autozone and ask them. Good Luck

Re: Clearing Air Bag Codes

Thanks for the idea ... I had already tried it with no success. In the Ford Shop manual it says it can be manually cleared by putting a jumper between 2 circuits in the diagnostic module under the heater console, but I can't make it happen, so thought maybe somebody here had experience with that.
