looking for help and answers

i own a 1993 Camaro RS

yeah a sissy car.

but. i want to restore it. and make mods to it.

here are my questions in order.

1) will a Z28 spedomitor panel work in the RS?
2) is there anyway to get the RS to not maxout at 115MPS, as i can feel that it is not using the full potential of the motor.

3) are there any aftermarket addons like superchargers etc for the RS model.
4) what is the best option for fixing the power windows issue on the camaro?

i will stop there. and then add more questions later.

at this point here are the mods i made to the car.

1) changed the air intake to a hyper intake.
2) installed BOSS 4 prong plugs.
3) cut the Cat. (reinstall it to smog )

i know there is alot more i can do, but cant seem to find anything on the RS model. everything is about the Z28 and SS series.

ohh, and this thing is an automatic. not stick. :\

any info would help me out alot thanks.

The reason i want to mod this thing, is because i hate beaing beat by Honda 4 bangers. :P

THe car looks fast. but aint.

Re: looking for help and answers

sorry hit post for some reason.

if you want to make the sixer fast your gonna have to open it up. port and polish the heads, put gapless rings onit, a crank scraper, im sure comp cams has a performance cam for it. and i think pacesetter has headers, and RKsport might too? or you could have a set custom fabbed up.

regarding the power window situation, you can fix it yourself, but i think its worth the money to pay someone else to deal with the headache

as far as the Z28 cluster, i think there are too many electronics that are pre determined by your ecm and pcm to do that. could be wrong, but dont think they are interchangeable

regarding the speed limiter, you have to have your PROM or Flash chip reprogramed to eliminate the speed limiter, and then you are good to go.

Re: looking for help and answers

you would be alot happier finding a z28, all that money you throw in the six won't mean shit when you try and sell it, the z28 holds it's value more.

well, my friend said i can replace the current motor with a LS1 that will fit. problem is, local people will not tell me if it will be street legal.

i have a LS1 engine for 1500.00 with computer. debating weather or not to install it, or resell it.
