3.2 L Starting issues ....help!
Well all let me say to all of you thank you for so much information you have all posted on this web site! I have a 1999 Rodeo LS that has already had the engine replaced, the SRS Coil Assembly inside the steering wheel, the relay and control module for the wipers, The EGR valve just a few weeks ago, ...... the list is long! Oh when will it stop!
Any way, The engine dies imediately after i hear it fire up and let go of the key! I can always get it started but it behaves this way at pretty much every start. Usually after it starts it idles crazy for a bit. The idle speed after it settles down, seems fine at about 750 (Auto Tranny). The fuel pump is priming as the key is turned on (can hear it). Once i get it going and stable, it will not stall or act weird at all.... it does tick or sound a little like a diesel but that is another issue io believe. I am still very frustrated with the shop that did my Engine change..... Dont ever go to Weassels repair in Rapid City, SD. If the throttle is pressed a bit, it seems to start better. I have read my Haynes manual three times and am thinking it may have a bad fuel pressure regulator.... If any one has any innput i would surely appreciate it!!
