Change oil light on an 2000

My girlfriend has an 00, Impala and I need to get the change oil light to go out. The car has no book and the oil change place did not reset it. How do I get it to go out?

If you have the tape/cd player, turn the key to on, press and told disp until settings appears, use next to look for oil reset.. i don't know the exact keystrokes for it, but play around with it until you reset it.
OR

Sit in the car, you have to do this in like 5 seconds, turn the key to on, and press the gas pedal 3 times. That should turn it on, you might have to do it a few times to get it right. Thats the way i always reset mine.

yeah sort of, get in the car, it can be running if you want. but turn the radio off, then hold the disp button, itll say "settings" it should be the seek buttons but one to the right should say oil life, then the next set of buttons over, I think its prev and next, press prev it will say rest, then hit the disp button and you just rest the light. it should be I dont want to go get my book right now, but if that doesnt work, come back and say something and ill go find my manual.
