92 civic hatch rear speakers

i recently have got a 92 civic hatch and am wondering if the dx model came with any rear speakers. the previous owner seemed to fancy putting them behind a panel next to the backseat....unbolted. i dont see any place to mount these speakers so i was wondering if it came with rear speaker mounts. if it doesnt i guess ill have to find a creative place to put them cause the stock sound system sounds like ass. h8n treble

Rear speakers in hatches were options (at least in my cx it was). I had the speakers, and the brackets and stuff. But its all made for 5.25" speakers. So being creative, i made panels for some 6x9's to fit there. Then i sold the factory stuff for nearly $50 on ebay. The speakers are supposed to go beside where the rear passangers would sit. I'll upload pics of what I did once I get home, because it works great.

That's a picture of what I did. Those big side panels have to come off, and to do that, the back seat needs to come out. I had some premade boxes lying around, along with some 6x9's. I tore apart the boxes, cut the edge off (as you can clearly see) for clearance issues. There is a red dot where an additional screw was placed to give it additional strength. But what you can't see is that behind that screw, there is about 2 inches of space filled to tilt the speaker back abit so that it wouldn't hit the side panel of the car. I made some spacers out of a special foam we use at work, and that wouldn't squeak if it moved (not that it could). All that tucks nicely under the panels when it's done. the speakers even line up with the factory grill back there. I have more pictures that were too big to upload, and more specific instructions, just ask.
