a4 3.0 HP Upgrades needed !!! boost HP!!

I just got my 2002 a4 3.0 quatro. NOW, my friend has M3 2002. He's betting on me for $7000 to get even with his M3. He will pay me of all the mod for $7000 if i can get even for that amount mod. Should i take this offer ???? then if lost, i have to buy him supercharge !! ... since A4 is 220hp + 80-100hp i think is possible !! help me out what to get change now ??

well i would get the supercharger and the chip becuse you are allread talking about thousands of dollars for the supercharger and about 200 for a chip but if you had ony one option i would get the supercharger. How ever i would mod the chip after the supercharger.

yeah do a supercharger...a new chip should come with the s/c...because basically what the chip does is change how the fuel and air is mixed into the system...a chip for a normally aspired car does close to nothing...especially for the price...the thing about buying a chip after you get a s/c is that the chip has to be made for the s/c...so unless its a chip upgrade from the manufacturer of the s/c then i dont think it will work...or be better for that matter...so get a supercharger for sure...but im just going to say this though...its going to be hard to get your a4 to beat his m3...i mean hes doing 0-60 in 5 secs already...youve got to bump your power up quite a bit...but hey if you can do id be happy for ya...7 gs in free mods...thats be sweet...good luck

Who makes the supercharger for the 3.0? And also, with 7k to spend, i'd take him up on it, cuz even if you didn't beat him, which you still might, you would still have the 7 grand in stuff, so its not like you are losing anything.

yeah come to think of it i havent heard of anyone who makes a s/c for the 3.0

i have been looking for s/c and chips too for a4 3.0, but can't get any ! do you know any 3.0 s/c ? I called several chip makers, they haven't make it yet ... ??!?? this model came out in 2002 and has been 2 years ...
how come ?

well its probably cause the demand for it is so low...the research and development they have to put in is probably too much for what they think they could get from it...why waste the time on a product that not very many people want...thats probably the main reason

Ok, you need to contact http://www.pes-tuning.com/ they are near ready to market the 3.0 supercharger kit for your car and are the only company that will be.

If as you say your mate will pay then it should cover the fitting of the kit to and leave you some money for system and intakes to push you over the 300-310 hp mark

Hi Chris, thank you for your interest in PES. The 3.0L kit is actually scheduled for release in March or April of 2005 once the car completes winter testing! The car was dynoed Monday and made 320hp on stock intake and exhaust! Pricing for the kit is $4,999.00 but we have already started a group buy at $4,499.00 for the first production run.
