Re: warning light?

do you have an owners manual? that should tell you what all the warning lights mean.

Re: warning light?

fuck sakes, now the cooling system isn't pressurizing.. almost overheated on the way home.. there's a sensor looking thing that's off, but i have no idea where it coulda come from, it's right at the back of the car... i'll look for somewhere to plug it into in the morning.... hopefully i didn't wreck anything tonight

Re: warning light?

heh... heh *blushes* turns out it was just an Extremely low coolant reservoir.. that's what the warning light was... but i'd still like to know what this *see pic* sensor/plug thing is for... kind of worries me having loose things like that floating around the engine bay...

Re: warning light?

Sorry but thats FUNNY!!!

Oh as for your connector, dont know. What wire is it coming from? Or maybe it could be a test point for putting jumpers to find out faults.. after all it is a 80s car and they LOVED to use jumpers to trace faults in the 80s.

Re: warning light?

If your realy low in the resevoir, chances are you are in the engine/rad too thats what the light is, coolant, kind of looks like a radiator. wait for the engine to cool then open the rad cap and top off with premixed antifreeze/coolant. as for the conectors, they are diagnostic conectors there are a few of them on some models( mines a cali car, has a few)

Re: warning light?

ah i see.. any idea what they diagnose? lol. i'm pretty sure she's full up... got squirted with hot coolant when attempting to check it.. but i'll check again anyway... the thermostat is in a weird place on our cars, most of the time it's acutally on the rad but it's on the upper rad hose on this one.... crazy!
