Amp Stays on?
Im using my stock head unit and i have an amp and sub. I didnt use a remote wire, because it was messing the sound up. So I have the power wire going to both remote and battery terminals. Now it wont shut off, or if it does not for a long time. What should I do?

Re: Amp Stays on?
The remote is what tells the amp to turn on, when the remote goes to 12V, the amp turns on. Since your remote is always at 12V your amp is always on.
You need to use the remote input for what it was designed for, run a remote wire to something that's switched with the ignition, I'm sure you can find a switched power source in the fuse box, and if not then tap into the wires going to you cigarette lighter (if yours turn on and off with the ignition that is).
