Has anybody used something like this

I was wondering if anybody has gone to a police auction to bid on impounded cars or anything like that.. and if so did it work as you expected or what. I was looking at this website http://www.auctionspass.com/ and was curious if anybody else has used something like that and if the initial entrance fee was worth it and what not... thanks later.
