Hey guys my 6 bolt swap has been hell I have hade more problems than you can imagine. But the biggest problem right now is this god awful ticking not like the regular valve ticking like a bad ticking ,bad ticking, and Its only after i drive the car around for a bit then this ticking gets really bad instantly, and then it will just stop and go back to the normal valve tick (which is kinds loud) whats goin hear? a valve, self adjusting lifter, something with the cam lobes being worn? and what can i do to fix it?
thanks in advance for your help, Luke |

Re: Really loud random ticking?
Exhaust leaks have a tendency to create loud ticks similar to lifter tick. Check your o2 to downpipe gasket and other areas where you could have an exhaust leak.

I had an injector acting funny for a while that did that. When it's doing it stick your head by the injector rail and give a listen.

Re: Really loud random ticking?
ITs definatly not an exhaust leak (although those can sound really bad) Its right up on cylinder #1 on either one of my intake valves on that cylinder.
