Brake Dust

Can someone please list some off-the-shelf items that can get rid of the brake dust on the rims? Thanks.

(though I aint used it for brake dust...)
Simple Green works wonders on all sorts of stuff.

Gets rid of the 20+ year old engine grease in my old car's engine bay. You could eat off the intake manifold.

worth a shot

I think the best way is regular washing with a good car wash. The longer the dust stays on the harder it is to get off.

I have bad problems with dust and i'm going to change to a new type pad next week.
Go to the maintance thread and look under "squeek HELP" on the first page for some info.

Ya I just use the car wash that I have to clean the recent brake dust off (I use Turtle Wax Car Wash+Wax for the car wash). But on some parts of the wheels there are light brown patches of brake dusten that doesnt come off with the car wash. Thats why I need a good cleaning solution (that wont harm the finish) to clean that stuff off.

"Simple Green works wonders on all sorts of stuff." I agree with dre very much!!! I've tried it last week to get rid of the brake dust and it came off easily. It works like those special products for tires for a lesser price. It's also environmental friendly so you don't have to worry about getting sick using it, but I'll still use a mask for brake dust. You never know?
