Im a Poet?!?!

wow this is just odd for me. I never cared for poetry in my life. It was always just something that was there. Well one day will messing around on the internet i saw a banner that said something like poetry contest with a 1,000 dollar first prize. Soo i was like hey ill give it a try, and i made up a poem in about 10 mins and sent it in. Well a few weeks later i got a letter from them saying they are going to publish my poem in a book with 200 other poems. I get my own page just for my poem. So now i have a chance of winning the 1,000 dollars, and like 70 other prizes. And to top it off, they entered the poem in another contest that has 3,500 dollars worth of prizes to give away. So now im a published and copy righted poet!!! Heres the poem i wrote, its about my car!!!!!

There it sits still and dead,
With power so great it twists my head.
To touch its cold, hard, smooth shell,
And wonder if it is from hell.
The joy it brings i cant contain,
And sorry that i cant explain.
To sit inside is such a thrill,
Even when its standing still.
It runs my pockets shallow and dry,
But I would never think to cry.
It takes me where i want to be,
And fills the hole inside of me.
I lost it in its big back seat,
Man o' man was that a treat.
I give it love and much care,
For it is a bond that we share.
To my car theirs no compare.

A few years ago, I sent about 3 of my best work to poerty.com, I got a few letters saying I was in the finals, and shit, I sent back the required information, but I got no work back. As far as I know, they used my shit and made money. (unconfirmed)

any adverage person can write a poem like that... rhyming poems are the only ones i can write at all... i dont see anything special... sorry lol
