1985 Volkswagon

Have a 1985 Volkswagon Golf. The turn signals do not work.Already checked the bulbs, and the fuses.Headlights work but not the turn signals.Anyone who could possibly shed some light on this,it would be greatly appreciated since this car has to be driven quite a few miles to work,it's really good on gas,but right now dangerous to use,so using another vechile that uses a lot of gas.HELP!!! Please!!!

Re: 1985 Volkswagon

Do the emergency flashers work? Does the T/S light on the dash come on when you move the T/S lever? There is a turn signal relay in position #7 of the fuse block (that's the lower left relay).

The emergency flashers work. The T/S light on the dash lights but T/S do not work.No lights on outside at all for the T/S.
Turn Signal Relay was not the problem it didn't work nothing different happened.Any other suggestions.
Thanks.

Not in a format I can send. Fuses #6, 9 & 13 could affect their operation.

Thank You so MUCH!!!
I bought fuses and put in the relay I had purchased also because the old one looked burnt out even though putting the new one in at the time didn't solve the problem, but I kept that new one in plus put in new fuses and now my problem is solved.Thank You So Very Much. Now the car will be able to be used for work.Thank You So Much,I will keep an eye out on this site in case I am able to help anyone, plus since it is an 85 Golf I'm sure eventually I'll be seeking some kind of help.Thank You so much for your kindness in helping.
