Somebody slap this guy for me

Sup guys, I know yall don't know me. Someone posted this in one of our forums about a Z24 and I just want yall to tell me he's wrong.

"Ill take on any of you here... 12.3@112 mph, and I have the slips to prove it if you want me to upload them.. I'm still naturally aspirated too"

There is no way possible he is running 12's w/ no turbo/super charger/nitrous.

Re: Somebody slap this guy for me

nope check out a guy on jbody.org, hes running high 12s low 13's NA. A stock Z24 can run mid 15's with a good driver. Do weight reduction, build the engine, new cams, exhaust, intake, custom gearing, port and polishing, overbore, slicks, light weight parts out the asshole, it can be done. Anything is possible with the right amount of money and time.

Re: Somebody slap this guy for me

Pretty impressive, but that's still high 12's, this guy is saying he's running at 12.2.

Re: Somebody slap this guy for me

theirs also people running in the 11's with boost and such. Its not impossible at all, just takes time and money. Give me enough time and money and ill make my cavalier an 8 second car.

I did some searching, and he runs low 12's NA. Heres all his timeslips

http://www.j-body.org/members/karo/cars/2/

and one of his time slips maches your statement of his 12.3@112MPH, look at this last slip on their. Maybe you should be slapped.

Well then maybe this guy is telling the truth, props to him then. Didn't know these cars could do that w/out forced induction.

Re: Somebody slap this guy for me

just a ?, but wat style tree is this guy running on , i.e.- is it a .500,.700,etc. timed tree? cause on most of those time sheets the reaction time is really low. the one for the time mentioned is.287,& if it is a .500 tree that would be a redlight off the line. ---just wandering, not tryin to say the 2.4(built) is not capible.

Re: Somebody slap this guy for me

Karo is running like 259.00 WHP NA, and on the bottle hes butting down 351.67 WHP on a 75 shot. And these are his times E.T. 13.125 @ 101.01 (All Motor, No NItrous) E.T. 12.051 @ 111.76 (Nitrous Run)
The thread on jbody about it
http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.ph...=247397#247482

Theres another guy that ran 11s in his earlier sunbird, idk if hes spraying or not.

But basicly this person sounds like a dick, most of the guys running these times dont spout off about it, or gloat much.

Re: Somebody slap this guy for me

That's what I figured as well.

How much does it cost to get these cars to say...into the low 13's?

Re: Somebody slap this guy for me

are we talkin N/A or not?.. to do it all safely one way or another atleast 3,000 and upwards.. with going speeds that fast in these cars, upgrading suspension is a must in order to be safe so there's almost a grand right there..so figure around 3,000 for a Nitrous Oxide set up and above and beyond that for a tubo/supercharger set up.

.....edited thanks to kustmace tellin me about edit button
