Exclamation Help!:radiator Fan Won't Shut Down!

The radiator fan stays on even after shuting down the engine, even though I never got a warning light on the dashboard. Could it be the computer?? The on/off switch?? It's a 1999 BMW 323i. Thanks for the help!

Replace the 'Normal Speed' relay in the fuse box. The contacts overheat, burn and then stick closed draining the battery until flat. It should be the last relay in the left rear corner of the E-box, yellow and have 5 pins. with the key on and that fan running, pull it out and if the fan stops, you've found it.
It's likely the dealer won't find it by description, they'll need the number off the old one.

Could you tell me where I can find the E-box at? I don't have a manual to look it up. And thank you for your prompt answer. I will check it out at soon as possible. God bless!

E36 ='s L/R corner of the engineroom, E46 ='s the R/R corner.

Note, the problem's common on E36's, can't recall on E46's amd I'm home now and can't check further.

stay in touch.
