rpms
I'm thinking about buying about a 97 Eclipse, preferrebly the turbocharged version. I'd like to find out what rpms the Eclipse runs at 70, 80, 90, and maybe even at 100 in the highest gear. I don't want anyone to get a speeding ticket because of me, but if someone knows this, I'd appreciate it. I do a lot of highway driving, and I think it's better if its running lower rpms at these speeds. Currently I drive a 91 CRX, but at 65 it's at 3000 rpm, at 82 it's at 4000 rpm. It's kind of high, to be doing that for hours straight.

Re: rpms
There are calculators for this. Search google for those, and you'll need the gear ratios for the car you want to buy. There's a difference between the models, these are AVERAGES for a GSX.
60 2500rpm 70 2900rpm 80 3400rpm 90 3800rpm 100 4100rpm |
