loose valve cover

hey guys I was at work and I took out my plugs to re-gap them to .028 well when i went put all the plugs back and the plastic cover on top of the plugs I noticed that the valve cover bolts were the same size. So i checked if they were loose because there was oil stains on the passenger side of the cover so i checked them and they were all loose. (is this normal) so i thigtened them down and wanted to know if these go torqued down or just tight.

Re: loose valve cover

Valve cover bolts should be torqued to 2.5 ft/lbs, do not just make them tight, it is really easy to crack your valve cover this way, Happened to me, and I did torque them, so its that easy.
