Re: stand alone vs chiping ECU ????

skunk2 chip raises rev limiter above 9000 rpm so be careful with that one. My friend installed a skunk2 on his 93 GSR and it made a noticeable difference id be scared of the rev limiter tho we've all accidentally taken rpms up that high wouldnt want to fuck up your valve train u would get valve float that high.

Re: stand alone vs chiping ECU ????

i had a hondata s200 and then switched to the aem standalone. i had a lot of problems getting the car to idle under heavy loads that needed to be worked out. for this i would reccommend a piggy back system. the hondata worked pretty good and it was nice because most of the programming was factory done and all the hondata did was change what i wanted to change.

It seems to be a problem for AEM, getting a good idle I mean. I have a friend who had his car tuned and the idle was never good; it'd jump up and down and then get lower and lower until it'd just stall. A few people have told me that it's a common problem.
