Cassie looses to an SS

On one hand, I'm kinda upset that I lost, but then again, I think its nice that I have something to gage my car against.

So anyways, I'm comming back to my house from my gfs college, heading west on 70. I'm not really out trolling, but then I see up ahead something painted the most god awful collor of yellow. I'm thinking its a ricer straight up, but as I pull up, I see the Chevy badge, and those two letters that signal its a beast: SS. A yellow Monte Carlo SS, one of the new ones. As I pull up next to it, I see it drop in speed, and I pull next to it. I look over, and see two younger looking kids, maybe 16 or 17, and they see me. One of them points at my car, and says something to the driver, but I dont know what it was. All I know is that now, I'm in 3rd, doing 65, and holding next to him.

I look over at him, and then he jumps on it, and I jump right on my gas. All the way through third, and mid way into fourth, hes up, but never really pulls more than a car length. Up into fifth, were slowly moving towards 120, but still, hes never that far up. By now, I'm thinking we've pushed it enough, and I flash the high beams and pull off, and he does too. We give each other the thumbs up, and soon I'm on my exit.

So, even though it was a death, I feel pretty good about it. I managed to hold with a car that, to my research, has about 15 more crank HP, a bigger motor, and a super charger. Fun stuff.

Re: Cassie looses to an SS

good race, but i really dont like the monte carlo just because they wont make it rear wheel drive. They have some good HP numbers and alot of potential, but its FWD! i mean common chevy wtf are you thinking?

Not a bad death. A few mods here and there and you'll soon enough blow him away. I don't know. But that's pretty cool you kept on his ass. Late...

With my next car, Monte Carlos will be wastes of gas...hehehe, but yeah, once I get around to putting that Air Filter in, who knows...LOL.

The pre 2k4 monte carlo ss's didn't have superchargers just the 3.8 liter w/o the supercharger. Are you sure it was a 2004? Nice kill though.

Re: Cassie looses to an SS

Well, it won, so I'm gonna say it was 2k4, becuase would it still be putting out 200HP without the Supercharger? I really dont know Domestic cars all that well. Theres a guy on campus with an older Monte Carlo SS, I'll talk to him about racing, see what its like.

260 with the supercharger 200 w/o. I think they run like high 15's in the quartermile without a supercharger.
